Demons and Blocks Empty Demons and Blocks

Post by Dillon Alford Fri Jan 06, 2012 2:58 pm

Dillon Alford, born on the 31st of October to parents Jennifer Yates and Marcus Alford in a hospital in London. It was through no fault of her own that she got wrapped up in all sorts of crazy and dangerous goings on.

At the age of two years old, the young miss Alford was playing in her garden with some coloured blocks. Of course her play was simplistic and mundane, but two a child of her age it was the height of entertainment, apart from the television of course. As she sat, passing the blocks from hand to hand before throwing them to one side or stacking them messily on the other, she heard noised. She walked into the house and through the front door, carelessly left open. She saw her mother outside. There was a funny-looking man there too and they were fighting. Not physically nor verbally, but they were duelling. At the time the young Dillon was blissfully unaware of what was happening. All she saw were bright colours. They were... shiny... and pretty. She walked over into the midst of the fight. When Dillon's mother spotted her in the middle she instantly dropped her wand and ran to protect her child. She held her child close and shook her head violently. "Not my child, just stay away!" she screamed, squeezing her daughter closer to her. The man walked over and looked down at the two of them huddles on the floor. "Give me my child." he said simply. Dillon's mother shuffled backwards on the floor. "She's not your child! That wouldn't even be possible!" she retorted. Dillon felt her mother's panic and nestled herself closer. All at once, the man reached down to grab Dillon, but Jennifer was too fast for him and managed to grab her wand and attack him one final time. He flew backwards and was injured. Dillon's mother ran and picked up the man's wand before grabbing Dillon and rushing back inside the house, locking all the doors and windows.
It was not until later that Dillon went back into the garden to get her blocks. She felt a shadow forming over her and looked up to see a male face. Still not understanding the situation, she smiled at him. He smiled back, but not with kindness. He clearly had malicious intent. In less than a second he was gone and Dillon felt a burning sensation in her chest. She cried and screamed and most of the neighbours (whom Mrs Yates had already erased the memories of following the duel in the street) heard her from all the way down the street. Dillon's mother, embarrassed at disturbing her neighbours, quietly brought Dillon inside and tried to lull her to sleep. When Dillon's father got home that evening, both Dillon and her mother were asleep. Jennifer did not mention that afternoon's events to him. She just quietly carried on.
