Just sayin' Hello

I ran to the stone where I knew my family's names were carved.
Some while ago, before I left to see my grandmother and brother for a while, I had to add my grandfather's name to the list. Theodore Tonks.

And here they were. All of them. Still carved into marble like last time.

I followed my mother's name with a finger, then Remus', and finally Dad's.

"You can't imagine how much I miss you. Always have. Always will."

I kissed the cold stone and then sat myself to grieve a little.

I walked about aimlessly for a bit, trying to cope with the news of my guardian's death. After a while, I found herself at the stone that held my parents' names. I saw Ana there and nearly started crying again. I walked over to her and put my arm around her shoulder. "It'll be okay. The past-" I stopped, realizing what I was going to say, what I had to admit, what I had to do. I pulled out my wand and added a name to the stone. 'Kestrel Kell' appeared at the bottom of the list, right next to my parents' names. I put my head on Ana's shoulder. "The past has passed but there's still a future ahead of us we need to fulfill."

I leaned into Darcie's hug and stopped crying. I wiped the tears away but stayed like this, as it was really peaceful.

"I'm sorry. For your guardian, I mean. If you don't wanna talk about it, I'll understand, but in case of, I'm here."

I took a deep shaky breath, but smiled anyway. "Thank you. I really don't know what to say. I barely knew her, I hardly saw her. But still...she's gone...and I'm alone..." I hugged Ana tighter. I felt like I needed this.
