Lesson one - First years

I entered the classroom and bounced to the second raw. That, for once, was a lesson I could like to be sitting nearly front.

I sat and turned on my bench, eyeing the door.

"C'mon, girls, c'mon." And I just kept praying Darcie and Clementine would come early.

Darcie silently opened the door to the charms classroom hoping she wouldn't be alone with the teacher. She sighed with relief when she saw Anadora in the second row. Pulling her black beret down (Hopefully, the teacher won't tell me to take it off!) and tightening the scarf that went with it, Darcie went and sat next to Anadora.

"Hey! Fancy meeting you here."

"We are allowed to get in the classroom before the teacher... Right...?" Amy wandered into the classrom slowly, and sat on the rightmost desk.

"Nope, I don't reckon we are. But whatever, I'm bored anyway." Clementine sat on the desk at the back, and spun her wand in her fingers, "Hi peeps." she added awkwardly.

I smiled widely as Darcie came to sit by me. "Darcie! It's been too long!" I hugged her. "Really, you can't imagine how happy I am to finally see you!"

I turned to see the other girl sitting far from us. "You know, we don't bite, you can come and sit closer." I punctuated with a smile I hoped wasn't looking stalkerish.

"I'll take that from you..." Amy stood up and sat down next to the small cluster of people, "I'm Amy," She held held hand out for the girls to shake. 'I'm doing this right, right?' she thought worriedly.

I smiled and shook Amy's hand. "I'm Anadora, but everyone calls me Ana. Except those two." I gestured to Clementine and Darcie. "They keep on being stubborn and call me by my full name." I chuckled. And then turned to Clementine. "And you? Won't you come up here?" I smiled and winked to my friend.

"If you honestly want me to, Ana." I muttered, and, like Amy, stood up and sat down with the group. "We keep bumping into each other, me and Amy do." I shook my head.

"As soon as you don't end breaking any bones, you can keep on bumping into anyone." I chuckled. "Sorry, that's a very bad joke." But I kept on laughing alone nevertheless.

I smiled with vague amusement, "I get it. But you, no offense, don't make the best jokes."

Darcie laughed lightly."Well...I don't think they're too bad. Oh! That reminds me! Ana, did you hear that the runes teacher is a ghost?"

I stopped laughing at once. "Really? Like, a real ghost! Oh, I should have taken those courses!" I taped on the desk and then turned to Clementine. "I could have sharpened my jokes on him." And then back to Darcie. "Or her."

Darcie laughed."Oh goodness! I'm really nervous! I have runes next! I also heard that she lives in the haunted bathrooms. It would explain why its called haunted. I think I'll visit her after class...if she is a ghost." Darcie looked around the room and was somewhat worried by the lack of students."Gee...hope more kids come...and a teacher..."

"That's what I kept saying to Clementine all day long. There aren't many pupils in here. But you're there, you three, so I think I won't get bored as I thought I would. If we have a teacher." I followed Darcie's gaze and watched the door.

"Yeah, we can't exactly have a class without a teacher. But, if we're desperate, you can hire me because I don't exactly suck at beginner's Charms."

I smiled. "I told you you weren't plain and boring, Clementine!"

"I said I didn't suck, not that I was a mastermind at it..." I pouted.

"You probably know enough for a good first lesson."

"Hm..."

"You don't have to if you don't want to. I just think it'd be more fun than simply sitting here. It also might show the teacher that we snuck in here to learn instead of just goofing off and other malarky."

"Yeah. If no teachers come in within ten minutes, then I'll teach. Sound fair?" Clementine got out a notepad, and twiddled a quill in her fingers. After all, if she was to teach, she would nead to gather up everything she knew and plan.

"Yep, sure thing, Professor Clementine," Darcie said and patiently awaited whatever would come first: a lesson, students, or a teacher.

"Right..." Clementine immediately got to scribbling down a speech and lesson plan.

"Just remember to keep your lesson Alex-friendly in case that one decides to show up for class."

I grinned to both of them. "You're just so funny, girls. Planning a lesson to death, and waiting patiently for someone who probably forgot to get up." I giggled. "I'd better get my wand entertained, Dingle seems to get bored as well as its mistress." I twisted my wand between two fingers. "Oh, and Darcie, don't use your shadowy trick here, or I'll show you my shiny teeth." I grinned playfully.
