Lesson one (first years)

Xanin sat behind his desk twirling his wand around between his fingers. His eyes looking around the room boredly as he waited for the first students to arrive. On the Blackboard behind him were the words "WANDS OUT BOOKS AWAY" in big bold letters. He had set aside all desks in t he room against the wall so that there would be plenty of room for what he had planed for today

Tasha entered the room without her books, for she had forgotten them and felt relaxed when she saw both the professor and the words on the blackboard.
Politely saying hello to him, she took a seat in the front and looked at the door, waiting for other students to come.

Iris walked onto the class. "Hello Professor, sorry I'm late" Iris apologized to him. She took a seat and waited for the class to get started.

Xanin smiled as two girls came in. "Do not worry. neither of you are late" He said kindly. "Feel free to talk among yourselves while we wait for the rest of class to get here" He said with a warm smile.

Tasha frowned and decided to be brave. She got up and took a seat beside the other girl. "Hello I'm Bryan", she told her and offered to shake hands.

Anadora walked in biting an apple, Dingle out in, her hand.
Great, wands out was written on the blackboard. iris and Tasha were already there. She thought these two might be acquainted with Hermione Granger or something...
She nodded to her teacher, no wanting to show him bits of apple between her teeth, and sat right on the floor, starting humming a song Remus used to sing for her.
"And then the moon got bright, and I lost my sight, the calling of the night"

'I'm not late. Again.' Clementine thought as she walked in the classroom. 'Wands out?'

With a sigh, she put away her books and fiddled with her wand instead.

Darcie walked in the room quieter than a whisper. If she was late, she wasn't going to be heard. She sat at a desk in the middle of the second row and was going to pull out her textbook when she saw that all she needed was her wand.

'Good god, kill me now,' Darcie thought as her face paled considerably. Darcie was awful at dueling, let alone dealing with her wand. The only reason she took this class was because if she didn't learn self-defense, she would never be able to fight. 'Oh well, maybe it won't be so bad,' Darcie thought as she clenched her teeth and held her wand in a death grip.
