Lesson one (second years) Empty Lesson one (second years)

Post by Jason Sharpe Mon Dec 19, 2011 2:21 pm

His first lesson quickly approached as he apparated out of his house trunk and into his office. The dark arts were his speciality and how the sisters didn't guess he was mixed in with evil he didn't know, it wasn't exactly hidden. He moved through his office to the classroom and perched on the front of his desk with a book in hand. He hated waiting around and this book was one he had yet to finish.

Bertie walked into the class. He was the first one there but he wasn't complaining. "Hello professor" Bertie nodded towards him and took a seat. Now all he had to do was wait.

Bailey walked into the dark arts classroom and sighed with relief when she saw she wasn't late. Bailey walked further into the room. "Hello professor Sharpe, how are you" asked Bailey as she took a seat. Bailey realized the boy Bertie from her other classes.

Zander was already in the room long before the students or even the professor arrived. He had his head thrown back and he eyes on the ceiling and for once he was actually sitting nearer to the front were the window was instead of his usual perch at the back.

He let out a low whistle and then he leaned forward towards the professor with a blank expression.

Without looking up from the page, he knew most of his students had arrived. If the years being in the presense of the greatest wizard alive taught him on thing it was always to have your senses on guard. "So you wish to delve into the dark arts." He said finishing off the last of the page before placing the book on the desk beside him.

"The dark arts are not to be messed with. They are fornamed because of their evil qualities. They cannot be used without leaving a trace or claiming something for its use." He said getting to his feet.

"Tell me, what could the dark arts ask for in return for being used?" He asked.

Zander looked up when the discussion started and he leaned forward, having an affinity for Dark Arts. He had his elbow propped up on the table and his chin was leaning on his hand. He thought about what the teacher said for a while before he decided to answer. He pointed a finger up as a sign that he did so.

"The Dark Arts are generally regarded as corrupting to those who use them...it is also theorized that the extensive use of the dark arts could damage the soul. So I guess that in return for being used, powerful dark spells require malicious intent in order to be successful."

"Correct the Dark arts take and steal from any user. These arts are not to be messed with." He said his hand twitching slightly so the door closed. "Because of the disasterous results, this kind of magic always leave traces behind of the caster and the type of spell used." He said glancing at his watch.

"Right everyone to their feet." He said clapping his hands. "We're going to try something new." He said flicking his hand so all the desks disappeared and then once agains so many random objects floated around him as he made his way to the center of the room.

"All these items has been present or the object of Dark spells." He said addressing the class gesturing for them to get in a circle around him. "Any know or care to hazard a guess about what we look for to find traces of Dark arts?" He asked.

Zander stood behind Jason Sharpe and he was listening even though his eyes were once again looking out the window with a bored expression. He was running all the things he has read in his mind to ind an answer to what the professor said but he came out clean.

"Dark Items are usually bewitched to cause harm to the person wielding it. Magic always leave traces. There are various charms that detect dark magic."

Staz looked on at the question and answer session between the boy and the Professor. She was impressed, slightly, but felt no inclination to join in. She was forced to get up, when the Professor made all the desks disappear, and leaning on the wall, still cloaked by shadows, she watched with interest the objects floating around the Professor. "So basically, we just wait for the thing to attack us?" She finally asked incredulously, pushing herself off the wall to stand straighter. "Is it possible that Dark Items are far more tempting than others? Being able to influence minds by the negative energy around?" Staz didn't know whether it was true for the other students, but she definitely could feel level of darkness in each of the objects. Not very clearly, probably, she would be able to understand and guess better with practice but at the moment, she just had a feeble inclination as a way to guess which one of the objects were actual Dark objects.

Andi sighed before she opened the door to the class room. She was slightly curious as to what the class would entail, but figured as a Spiritualist it would be best for her to take it. She would have to know hwo to help dark people too. And maybe this professor could teach her about dark auras. They still gave her headaches trying to understand.

"Some Dark Items are made to be temting to someone if they were your enemy and wantedd you specifically to take it." She said, her voice certain and strong. "My apologies for arriving late, Professor."
