Lesson 1 (Second years)

Spencer walked into the class and took a seat at her desk. Spencer was excited that she would be teaching for the first time in her whole life. Spencer got out what she would need for her class. Now all she had to do was wait for her students.

"Professor," Elliot greeted with a charming grin as he slid into a desk and leaned back in his chair.

He wasn't exactly a stuidious type - however he was excited to get back into the 'swing of things' soically. School was his domain, and he enjoyed going about it.

Faye came into the classroom her perminant frown in place. A frown that almost turned into a snear when she took a glance at the young teacher at the front of the room.

Probably her first damn time teaching, she thought grumpily as she took a seat, spearing only one - almost as equally scathing look - at the other student room. That irritatingly cocky, Hudson boy.

Dillon skipped in and smiled at her professor. "Hello, professor." Dillon nodded graciously and sat nervously down beside the girl in the room. "Hi, I'm Dillon," she said turning to the girl and outstretching her hand for a handshake.

Faye turned to the girl, distain written all over her face. Her first instinct - a snide comment - was hovering on her lips when she remembered her promise to the headmistress. Well she hadn't exactly promised, but still...

She did respect the woman, and thought it best to at least give it a few days - maybe a week - before she completely blew it.

"Faye," she said curtly looking down at the outstreched hand but not making a move to shake it. She didn't want to touch anything she didn't have to.

Krisyln Quinn walked into the class to see her teacher Professor Montgomery and 3 other students. She realized 2 of them were in her other class. Krisyln Quinn walked further into the classroom and took a seat. She got out what she would need. Now all she had to do was wait.

Bailey walked into the classroom that her 'sister' teach. Even though they weren't really related anymore, she was the only thing close to a family she had. Bailey sighed and took a seat. "Hello professor" the name professor sounded weird when she called her that. Bailey shrugged it off.

Bertie walked in and saw the girl he met in charms class. He didn't want to see like some crazy stalker so he took a seat else where. Bertie now waited for class.

Dillon grinned and pulled her hand away. "Well it's a pleasure to meet you, Faye." Dillon twiddled her thumbs as she waited for a few more people to arrive

Zander was at the back of the class again, a shadow against the growing buzz in the class. He may be someone who enjoyed company, but in classes he was more likely to be cool and reserved until he was used to being in a room full of familiar face who he really didn't know. Sometimes being a Blood could be demanding. He had to play a part he didn't want to play.

"Prof." He raised a hand a bit but it looked like he was waving. "Starting yet?"

Krisite walked into the classroom and sat at a desk at the edge of the classroom by herself and buried her head in her hands. She hadn't had enough sleep the night before and was grouchy. Before long she slipped into a slumber...

Zander looked over at the girl who sat beside him. He raised a brow. This was a first. People usually went out of their way to avoid him during classes. Yeah, he may be fun to be around when he's playing around or hanging out during free time but he was always a serious guy when he was in a classroom. People knew that. They respected it.

He nudged her with his elbow. "Wake up little Vox, you'll get yourself into trouble." He mused.

Kristie felt someone nudge her and snapped awake. She looked over and the person who nudged her. "Oh..." she said sleepily, opening her eyes properly. "Thanks..." she smiled and picked up her wand which she must have knocked off the table while she was sleeping. "How long was I out?" she asked, brushing her hair back with her fingers.

"I don't know..." Zander glanced at his watch for like a second, not really looking at it. "Point forty five seconds if i'm not mistaken." He caught her quill which he hit with her elbow and he placed it over her desk carefully.

"Stray." He pointed to a stray lock of hair falling over her eyes.

Kristie shrugged. "Only that long?"

She focussed her eyes on the hair and swept it out of the way. "Thanks," she smiled. She leaned against the wall. "I'm so tired, hope I don't fall asleep again." she laughed.

"Probably not with that sort of professor." Zander's eyes made their way to Spencer Montgomery and her peppiness and he frowned. He could tell from the way the professor was moving and shifting her position that she was excited and he looked back at the Vox.

"She's new. Most probably, she's cheerful."

Kristie looked up at the professor and rolled her eyes. "Oh brilliant..." she said sarcastically "I'm really not in the moody for an energetic lesson, I'm really tired, as I'm sure you gathered." She rested her cheek on her palm and stared towards the front of the classroom. "This is going to be fun."

"I love the sarcasm." Zander shot her a side long glance and he relaxed in his seat once more and kicked his feet up the back of the chair in front of him. This was going to be a long lesson.

Rosalinda walked into the class. "Hello Professor" Rosalinda said. She saw the Professor looked young. They always say young is always better. Rosalinda shrugged and took a seat.

Spencer decided to start class. "Hello everyone I'm Spencer Montgomery, call me Professor Montgomery though, now today we will be learning how to make Alihotsy Draught. Can anyone tell me what it does" Spencer asked.

Zander raised a finger from his corner of the room, not bothering to look up from the window. "Alihotsy Draught is a potion made from the Alihotsy plant. Drinking it or inhaling its fumes induces hysteria."

Damian came into the room all haggard and slid into a seat beside his brother.

"Alihotsy, huh?" he said.

He raised his hand

"Go ahead, professor," he said to the teacher, weary and defeated. "Then this day won't be able to get any worse. I had insomnia, got no sleep last night, was late for another class, and fell asleep waiting for my first one to start. So take 15 points from Vox."

He was not talking back to the teacher, his tone was that of someone who knows they have failed to meet expectations and are prepared to accept the consequences.

"Hey!" Krisite said, annoyed. "How do you know she was going to take points off? If you've lost us 15 points I'll-" Kristie cut herself off, trying to keep her cool.

Zander smirked at Damian and Kristie's banter. He knew his brother wasn't able to sleep last night but he woke the boy up this morning and decided to go to classes first since he didn't seem to make any progress. Zander was almost late himself after thirty minutes of waiting for Damian to get ready.

"No professor don't!" Staz added as she burst in the room. "Because, that way, we will lose 30 points and I do NOT need enemies on the first day itself!" She added, pushing her bag higher on her shoulder as she searched for an empty seat. Deciding to skip the one near the girl who was in her house and was giving death glares to the first boy, she instead chose a seat towards the back of the class, near the shadows.
