Lesson 1 (First years) - Page 5 Empty Re: Lesson 1 (First years)

Post by Darcie Linwood Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:16 am

Darcie gasped in delight as Ana showed her animagus form. She smiled widely, a rare event for Darcie, though it seemed to be occuring more and more often.

Darcie's smile grew dimmer and a blush slowly spread across her face. Should I show them? I mean, it's not nearly as cool as an animagus, but it's special. I just really hope they don't freak out.

"I...I have a cool little...thing that I can do, too." Darcie looked around and saw a pencil on top a desk a couple rows over. She hesitated, then she extended her arm. Nothing happened at first, at least, nothing appeared to. The shadow of Darcie's arm stretched across the room to reach the pencil, though Darcie's real arm did not move. The shadow grasped the shadow of the pencil. The shadow slowly returned with the pencil, which appeared to be floating in thin air. When the shadow returned, Darcie took ahold of the pencil, smiled slightly, and said, "Hence, my old nickname, Shadows." She laughed a little but on the inside, her heart was racing, she felt somewhat faint, and she thought she could've died right then and there. She looked to the desk, unable to meet anyone's eyes.

"That was freaking amazing." Alex said in utter disbelief. "I kind of have a little trick I inherited off my father." He said sheepishly before chirping and then roaring loudly. "I can kind of speak to animals. Sometimes." He added quickly. He wondered why this happened the way it did.

I grinned towards Alex. "That's quite an advantage. Maybe you'll need to talk to Wolva sometimes." I winked then turned towards Clementine. "Sorry, we are all a little supernatural, I reckon it must feel awkward to just be standing there. We'll teach you something awesome one day."

"Hm... I'm used to it..." She smiled weakly, "I'm the odd one out in everything..."

"You sure beat Ana in looks." He said cheekily. Not meaning what he had said at all.

Darcie smiled at Clementine. "Everyone's good at something, even if it seems small. You just don't know it yet. For all you know, you could be the worlds greatest potion master or something. You just have to find your talent."

"I think I'll settle with Worlds Best Reader. That's one thing I'm good at," she smirked. "I guess I'm good at a lot of things, I'm just not extraordinary or anything..."

I rolled my eyes to Alex. "Yeah, right. See, Best Reader in the world, that's an achievement! And that can be useful as Hell. See, my Godmother was a total bookworm, she ended up being the only of the Golden Trio left alive."

"Hermione Granger?" Clementine asked incredulously, "She's, like, my idol. I want to be just like her, and I guess I am... Just ginger..."

"Really?" her eyes widened to the size of tennis balls. Well, almost, anyway. "Well, that's only because of the Weasleys and I'm not that ginger anyway..." she frowned to herself.

Darcie laughed lightly and shook her head a little."Not to offend anyone, but I rather find all of you strange. Not that its a bad thing, I like strange things. I used to think there was such a thing as normal, and there still may be, but I've yet to find any sight of it," Darcie said smiling widely.

"You and I will get along just brillantly." I said putting a hand on Clementine's shoulder. "I might even introduce you to 'Mione someday, she'll be just amazed to have a fan!" Then I stucked my tongue to Alex. "And you're not her type. Ron, at least, had a little intellect."

I laughed. "You don't even know what he was like!" Then I became serious at once. Another trait of my father. Laughing then keeping quiet in the time of a blink. "Though I don't either. But he shouldn't have been that bad for 'Mione to love him. Yet I didn't like what she told me about him either. I slithly preferred when she spoke of Dad. He was the best pranker in the world! I think I'll wait a little until I start my own pranks, but hey, watch me, I'm coming!"

"He he, you don't know me, little Madam. I only prank those who deserve it. See, I heard there's someone here bearing the name of Black, but who isn't half as beautiful, funny and cool as I am. I bet she's become a Death Eater as soon as she got graduated. I'd prank her all over." Then I sighed deeply. "Will we ever get this lesson or what? I'm here to learn, Merlin's beard!"
