"That's weird though. I usually don't get any of my spells wrong. You had to be my victim though..." I giggled again.
Really, what was our teacher doing? We were starting blowing things up and he just kept looking blankly at the wall. Was he a ghost or something?

"I heard that before... Hermione keeps on saying things like that, soon followed by "If you die, I'll kill you!"" I grinned but sadly this time. "But hey, that's why we're supposed to have lessons, no? Learning how to properly blow Death Eaters up!"

I looked at our Charms teacher. "I hope it's not him. I wouldn't like to rip that face off. Oh, and you're allowed to laugh."

"No, I'm not!" I elbowed him. "It's just that... He's quite handsome." I didn't blush, thanks Heavens, but I could see Alex' grin widen. "Don't you have a crush on Darcie-Blondie, Mister Clever?" Winking this time.

"Because I just admitted I had a physical crush on our teacher and that I know you won't get over it. So I want us to be even. Logical, isn't it?"

I blushed slightly at once, and bolted upright. "Oh. I...okay. Do you realise we've only known each other for twenty minutes?" I couldn't help myself? Right, Grandma told me I wouldn't pass unnoticed, but that much? "What about a tea sometime during the weekend?"

"Neither did I... Weird coming from my dad's daughter, but this is the first time someone tells me that he likes me. Not that I mind!" I grinned again, but somehow the moment was getting awkward. "And I swear, tea's good when you know where to go. And I do."

I looked at the ceiling and suddenly its white colour made me lose sight. "Alex, forgive me a moment, but I think I might collapse into sleep. Wake me up before you go-go." And I fell on my arms. Into darkness. Into sleep.

"Ok." I said a bit scared at what had happened. I decided to leave the room and explore. "Going to the toilet sir." I said dismissively before walking out the door.

Lesson 1 (First years) - Page 3 Empty Re: Lesson 1 (First years)

Post by Darcie Linwood Tue Feb 14, 2012 1:03 am

Darcie couldn't help but laugh into her book as she heard Ana and Alex performing spells. Well, at least they did them in the classroom. Darcie stopped laughing, however, when she learned that the person who hurt Alex's mother and killed Ana's parents was the same person who killed Darcie's parents shortly before the Battle of Hogwarts. When Darcie heard this, she couldn't help but turn and look at Ana and Alex and feel strangely connected to them. She was going to tell them, but how? Oh no way, Bellatrix slaughtered my parents, too? Darcie thought as not. She waited until she felt the moment was right to approach Ana. Actually, she waited 5 minutes after the right moment to approach her. She spent those 5 minutes trying to convince herself to tell Ana. Finally, five minutes after Alex left, Darcie stood, walked over and sat next to Ana on the side Alex wasn't sitting on, and said quietly so Clementine wouldn't hear, though she trusted Clementine,

"Hey Ana...I'm sorry to wake you and sorry for listening to your conversation, but I...I just thought you might want to know that..." Darcie took a deep breath, "that Bellatrix killed my parents, too."

Clementine snapped her head up and looked around the room. "Stupid Blank Mode."

She started Blank Mode a while ago, when she was so bored her face just fell into a mask.

"Darn... I'm the odd one out again. Everyone else has some sort of impressive history." she muttered.

Darcie stopped breathing when Clementine snapped back to attention. The movement had startled her very much. Then again, what doesn't scare Darcie? Oddly enough, the only thing she's not truly afraid of is the dark because of her strange ability. But she wasn't thinking about her ability. She was thinking about Clementine. Darcie felt almost angry but most definately sad at what sage heard Clementine mutter. She smiled, a sad smile, and shook her head. She turned to face Clementine.

"You've got it wrong, I think. I would trade my life for a normal person's, whatever that is anymore, any day. If you've got at least a sense of normality in your family," Darcie had a hard time saying family as she had none, "then be happy. You can't possibly imagine how jealous everyone else is." Darcie tried to keep her tone calm and not angry. She couldn't keep a little sadness from creeping in, however. She most certainly did not want Clementine to think she was offended. She just wanted to let her know exactly what she said. She turned her attention back to Ana to see if Ana had heard what she said.

"Trust me, I know what you mean, just..." Clementine trailed away into silence. "I'm not jealous, I just want something to... happen in my life, not necessarily of that sort."

Clementine put her head in her hands. "Sorry if I've offended you or anything..."
